I guess I was in a sheer nail polish mood the last two weeks or so, because after the sheer but very sophisticated Lancome affair, I grabbed for OPI‘s Significant Other Color.
This is one coat, no top coat. This nail polish gets a lot of flak for being so sheer. At one coat, it looks nothing like in the bottle. You need about three coats for it to start looking like in the bottle. But I love it at one coat. It almost looks as if you’ve got nothing on and then you move and the light hits right and BAMM! Mint green shimmer! (What looks like white shimmer in the pic is mint green irl) It is in fact a duo chrome, the other shimmer color is a reddish pink, but I saw it only in artificial light.
Lots of other people seem to love the subtle shimmer too, because I got lots of compliments.
Applies evenly and non streaky and perfect. I always think it’s a sign of quality when you can get a good looking, if sheer, first coat on.
